Tips and Important Dates

  • We highly recommend that you pre-purchase your 2017 Seats ahead of time to avoid having to handle this at the event and having to stand in line.
  • If you purchased your Seat from a Ticket Broker/Owner or from someone else, you will not be able to use this system to re-buy your 2017 Tickets.
  • Rebuy Online: Starts October 1, 2016. You will be able to re-purchase your current seat (if you are the owner) using the code that will be provided in an email sent to you on October 1, 2016.
  • Rebuy at Event: You will be able to re-purchase your current seat (if you are the owner) at the event on Saturday, November 26, 2016 (at scheduled times). On Sunday, November 27, 2016 (at scheduled times) any unsold seat will be available to the public.
  • All seat owners will be verified. If a seat owner wants to transfer ownership of their seat to someone else, they must put it in writing or email the home office prior to November 1, 2016.

We offer several different passes and seating options to help you enjoy the US Open Swing Dance Championships. Details are provided below.

2017 Event Passes

  • Most of our seating is tiered for the best view of the competitions.
  • The best seats for viewing are reserved seats. Much of the Open Seating / SRO is tiered, however viewing is from the side.
  • We have available group seating and large group (20+) discounts. Contact Ruth Farmer 248-980-3714 (EST)

Reserved Seating – $174 (Thru November 18, 2016)

  • This is the best seating in the ballroom, usually facing the front or close to the dance floor on the sides.
  • It is your seat from Friday-Sunday.
  • Purchase early for best seat selection. We usually sell out prior to the event.
  • Complimentary Souvenir Program is included, if seat is purchased prior to the event.
  • Price Increase after November 18, 2016 is $190

Open Seating or Standing Room Only – $150 (Thru November 18, 2016)

  • We have a limited amount of open seats available.
  • You are not guaranteed a seat. We sell more Open Seating/SRO than seats available.
  • Open Seating/SRO areas are also be used for day passes, competitors and junior passes.
  • Open seating is on a first come, first served basis. When seats in the open seating sections are not available, use the “standing room only” sections. When a seat becomes available, you can move down.
  • You cannot sit in a reserved seat.
  • Open seating and SRO sections are located on the sides or in the corners of the ballroom.
  • Complimentary Souvenir Program is included, if seat is purchased prior to event.
  • Price Increase after November 18, 2016 is $170

Juniors – $105 (Thru November 18, 2016)

  • A discounted pass for 17 years of age and under only. (Verified upon check-in)
  • Seating is located in the open seating/standing room only sections.
  • Junior passes include all the workshops and activities from Thursday through Sunday.
  • Juniors are invited to attend our “Kids Pizza Party” – sponsored by Evan Reiss and Kathryn Hoffman.
  • Complimentary Souvenir Program is included, if pass is purchased prior to event.
  • Price Increase after November 18, 2016 is $125
  • Also available: Discounted ticket for Junior Chaperone $105/$125

Competitors – $130 (Thru November 1, 2016)

  • A special discounted pass for our competitors with seating located in the open seating/standing room only sections.
  • ALL Competitors are required to purchase a weekend pass to compete.
  • Competitor passes must be purchased no later than November 1, 2016, at midnight.
  • This special price will NOT be available after November 1, 2016, either on-line or at the event!
  • Complimentary Souvenir Program is included.

Day Passes – $67 Adult, Juniors $32 (At Event Only)

  • Day passes are available for either Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
  • The seating is located in the open seating/standing room only sections.
  • Passes are available for purchase at our Registration Desk.
  • This Pass is good for the day purchased until 5:00 am the next day.
  • Workshops are NOT included, but can be purchased for $15 each.
  • Souvenir Program is NOT included, but can be purchased for $15

Workshop Tickets – $15 Each, 4 for $50, All workshops for only $99

  • Workshops are NOT included in your event pass, but can be purchased for $15 each.
  • Tickets are purchased at our Registration Desk.
  • Workshop Tickets will be collected at the door before entry.
  • Must also have a Weekend or Day Pass to enter.

Division Tickets – $25, Adult, Juniors $12 (At Event Only)

  • These Tickets can only be purchased at the event.
  • These Tickets allow someone to watch ONE division.
  • Tickets are collected at the door.
  • Standing room only sections, unless there are seats available in the open seating sections.
  • Souvenir Program is NOT included, but can be purchased for $15


Most asked questions and important information about our Tickets:

  • Can a lost, stolen, or destroyed ticket be replaced? Contact us at prior to November 1, 2016 and we may be able to help.
  • Are Passes refundable? Sorry, No.
  • Will we buy back or re-sale your Tickets for you? Sorry, No.
  • I am purchasing the ticket for someone other than myself. How do I add their name? Please select the other person as the recipient instead of yourself.
  • Are discounted Tickets transferable? Yes, contact us at
  • If you accidentally leave your ticket at home? Follow this procedure:
    1. Go to our Registration Desk and tell them you left it at home.
    2. We will fill out a form with credit card information, but will not process if we receive the original Ticket by December 8, 2016.
    3. You have two weeks to mail your Tickets to the home office; otherwise the credit card is processed.
  • Do I need to bring my e-ticket for check in? Yes! When you have your e-ticket document we can expedite your check-in. Go to SCAN, BAND & GO line for fastest check in.
  • If you buy a block of Tickets and want to transfer ownership to others? Email us at prior to the event or provide recipient with a letter stating the intention to transfer.
  • If you cut off or lose your wristband? You will need to purchase a new one. Competitors can remove their wristband for routines – please keep it and return it to the registration desk to receive a new one, for no charge.
  • If you are a non-dancer and just want to watch? Purchase one of the “Division Tickets” detailed above (available at Event Only).
