Markus Smith & Tren Veal
Markus & Trendlyon are a dynamic, inspiring and fun loving couple, one that’s difficult to take your eyes off of, even on a crowded dance floor! Markus and Trendlyon are both WCSwing Dance Champions.
Together they travel across the United States and internationally, teaching, competing, judging, and performing at national swing dance events, in addition to volunteering and community outreach activities.
They both routinely place among the top 5 in professional competitive divisions and as performers, their entertainment value is one of kind!
Myles & Tessa Monroe
Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham Munroe are Canada’s West Coast Swing Champions and one of the highest ranked international couples on the NASDE circuit, placing in the top 5 nine (9) times in the Showcase division in the past 12 years at the US Open.
Myles’s 26 years of diverse dance training includes 6 UCWDC World Championship titles, and Tessa brings a professional coaching career to the partnership with university degrees in both Kinesiology and Education.
As performers, they are known for their cutting-edge artistic choreography, innovative and high-risk acrobatics, and enviable musical expression. Their comedic approach and accessible delivery of correct foundational technique inspires and empowers students of all levels.
They are ambassadors for modern, authentic West Coast Swing: teaching, judging, performing and competing 40+ weekends a year, all over the world.
Diego Borges & Jessica Pacheco
Diego and Jessica live in Fortaleza, Brazil. Diego has a degree in Physical Education and a Graduate Degree in Dance Teaching Methodology. Jessica holds a degree in Accounting.
A passion for dance has inspired the strong partnership between them, and they have been spreading West Coast Swing in Brazil and around the world since 2009.
Since 2014, the couple have been promoting The Brazilian Open Championships, the main West Coast Swing event in Brazil, and are the creators of the West Coast Swing Day free event with the goal of spreading WCS in Brazil and worldwide.
As a couple they have won multiple titles in Strictly Swing, Jack & Jills and Showcase. They are the current Showcase champions at Chicago Classic, MADJam and USA Grand National Championships, and hold the 2nd place Showcase title from the US Open 2015. Diego has done choreography and taught on “Dancing with the Stars-Brazilian version” and in 2014 won 5th place in Classic at the USOpen, with Kellese Key.
Diego and Jessica have also been putting a lot of effort into developing and spreading ZOUK, one of the most widespread dances in Brazil. Today they travel through Europe, America, Asia, and Brazil to teach, perform, judge, and compete annually in many events around the world.
Gary McIntyre & Susan Kirklin

Gary and Susan have been dancing together since 2006. They travel the world performing and teaching.
Prior to dancing together, Gary was a multi-time UCWDC World Champion and toured as a dance captain for the Original Broadway Show Swing. He was a choreographer for the Academy Award winning film Brokeback Mountain, the dance double to the lead actor in Love ‘n Dancing and also appeared as a dancer in the Jennifer Lopez/Richard Gere version of Shall We Dance.
Susan was a U.S. Swing and Cabaret Champion. Together they are unique in that they compete and have been successful on three separate circuits: Country, Ballroom, and West Coast Swing.
They are World Professional Smooth Finalists, UCWDC Classic Masters World Champions, Classic and Showcase Swing Champions, and U.S. Open Swing Cabaret Champions.
Maxime Zzaoui & Torri Smith
Maxime is from Lyon, France and is one of the most well known WCS professionals in Europe. He has been trained in contemporary, as well as other dances, before he began WCS. He has placed in the top 5 of the 2012 Classic division at the US Open, and consistently places in the strictly division as well.
Torri is from Murrieta, CA and is no stranger to the US Open, since she has competed every year since 1999. She began in the Young America and Young Adult divisions, and continued into the Classic and Showcase divisions where she was the first person to win both the divisions in 2010.
Maxime and Torri travel almost every weekend all around the world sharing their love for this dance, and really want to bring a fun atmosphere to all of their classes!
Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann
Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann have been a successful partnership since 2000. They are 11-Time US Open Champions, 6-time NASDE Champions, and Multi-Grand National Champions, as well as dominating the Classic Division throughout the past 6 years.
At the UCWDC World’s event they were given the Star Award for the Couple with the Most Impact on Swing, and Jordan won Best Swing Choreographer. They have won Swing Couple of the Year for 5 years straight on the web site: www.usaswingdance.net
They Travel 47 out of 52 weekends per year, competing and teaching packed workshops and intensives all across the USA and Internationally. They are Certified Teachers in the Golden State Dance Teacher’s Association.
Brennar, from Virginia Beach, VA, started dancing at the age of 8 when his grandmother taught him Carolina Shag. From that point on Brennar had the bug.
He has been competing in Shag since the age of 9 and has won numerous titles including National Shag Dance Championships Junior Overall in 2004, 2007, and 2008, Grand Nationals Junior I champion in 2004 and Junior II champion for 2005-2008 with his previous partner Autumn Jones. He and Autumn are the current first place GNDC winners of the Professional Carolina Shag Classic division.
He was a member of the award winning competition team, the National Shag Dance Team from 2004 through 2008. Brennar also won the team division at the US Open in 2008 with his Shag team, “Southern Fried with Junior Pride,” with Brennar as choreographer & coach.
Michael & LeAnn Norris
Michael Norris and LeAnn Best, have been Carolina Shag dancers for 15 years, winning for the first time in the Junior I Division of the National Shag Dance Championships in 1994.
They swept the Junior II division for the next 5 consecutive years, taking 1st place from 1996 through 2000. In 1996, they won the Best Overall Award at the National Shag Dance Championships, the first ever for a Junior Division couple. They repeated as Best Overall Champions in 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2002! Moving into the Pro Shag Division in 2001, they placed second and the next year won their first Professional Division title at the National Shag Dance Championships.
They are the current event directors for the USA Grand National Dance Championships.
A third generation swing dancer, Benji Schwimmer holds records in nearly every category of West Coast Swing and has been swing dancing for 30 years this month!
Having an extensive background in most dance styles, Benji’s training, coaching, lecturing and choreography is a sought-after tool to both the recreational dancer to the most elite of competitors.
Outside of swing, “America’s Favorite Dancer” is the artistic director for various live tv shows and recently wrapped an upcoming series set for release mid next year. When not dancing, he coaches and choreographs for some of the highest Olympic-level figure skaters in the world and is a recognized Olympic figure skating coach.
Kyle Redd & Sarah Vann Drake
Kyle and Sarah are 5 time NASDE Champions, hold 11 US Open Titles and are 8 time Grand National Champions.
As a partnership, they have been teaching, competing, performing, judging and choreographing all over the world for 12 years. They are the only couple to hold a US Open Swing Dance Championship title in both the “Showcase” and “Classic” Divisions.
This innovative couple love what they do and it shows every time they step onto the floor. They have performed 24 West Coast Swing Routines all over the world and are constantly driving to evolve their style while strengthening technique.
Kyle and Sarah are best known for their ability to teach their innovative style while preserving the fundamental roots of West Coast Swing.
